The Zombie Survival Guide - Max Brooks
Easily the most fun I have had in reading a book in a long time. While reading this guidebook, I dare you to not wonder that zombies are in fact real and have terrorized humans throughout recorded history.
Solanum is the virus by which the zombie curse is transmitted. Medical facts may be thin, but experts are currently working on isolating the chemistry of this virus. What this means for you is the subject of Max Brooks' guidebook. In it, he guides survivors of the undead through a meticulous and detailed approach to remaining alive. As Brooks' states, winning is not the objective, survival is. With this in mind, you learn about the physical traits of your enemy, the weapons to be used against them, the terrain through which you must travel, the classes of outbreak, and last but not least - heaven forbid - the secrets of surviving the undead world. Scoffing at the veracity of this guidebook may seem the intelligent thing to do today, but you may find yourself scolding your own hypocritical views, when the undead have taken over and are literally at your doorstep!!!

Choosing the right weapons (never carry just one) can make the difference between a pile of dead zombies and becoming one yourself. When confronted with the undead, it is easy to believe in the supercommando strategy: Load up with the heaviest, most powerful weapons possible and go out to "kick ass". This is not only foolish - it is suicidal.
